- Weight Belt in place and secure
- Integrated weights in place and secure
- Integrated-weight ditch mechanism(s) operable
- Proper amount of weight worn
- Timing device in place
- Dive knife secure
- Exposure protection zipped
- Gloves/hood in place
- Dive boots zipped
- Fins donned and straps secure
- Mask in place/defogged
- Mask strap secure/properly positioned
