Beware when you purchase this battery with the Key Word FOR. Anytime you see the word FOR that means that it isn't an original OEM battery.
If you own the Nikon Coolpix P7000 with firmware version 1.1, this may work.
Recently, I had to have my P7000 sent in for repairs. Prior to me sending my camera in, I had firmware version 1.1. They sent me the camera back with the most current firmware version 1.2 and now this battery will not work. This information is on the generic battery:
Battery Pack
Fits NIK.EN-EL14
7.4V 1050mAh
Use specified charger only.
If you have any questions regarding the battery you thinking of purchasing and if you have firmware version 1.1, ask that seller first if this is an Original OEM battery. Most of these batteries come from China (Hong Kong, etc) but there are some sellers that are from the USA that are selling this as well (guess where their supplies come from> China).
Be cautious and pay attention to the 7.4V 1050mAh. The Original OEM is a 1035mAh battery.
Any questions. Feel free to ask the seller but my recommendation, avoid these at all costs. They are more trouble than they are worth.
