Apple Ipod and I phone cases.. why they matter

When it comes to cases, the market is extremely over flooded.. There tens of thousands of cases and skins for sale fom 1 cent to 50 dollars.. Lets take a closer look.

Fashion:
You maker want to make a statement, you may like the color or design.. or it matches your eyes.. Regardless, to most this is a big factor when choosing.

Protect your valuables:
Unless you filled out one of those highly annoying "34 offers and get a free ipod" you paid good $$ for your ipod and iphone.. many of us learnt the hard way of dropping it.. and accumulating 300$ paper weights. That said, dont trust your iphone / ipod to some cheap aftermarket junk.. You should rely on brand name company's like griffin, otterbox, sedio and bodyglove.

Other factors:
As is the case with the iPhone 4, some cases will actually help your signal / reception, some may lower the radiation level (supposedly) others include nifty additions such as clips, stands that fold out and even waterproof cases.

Bottom line: Dont get taken for a ride.. brand new brand name cases should cost 10$-20$ but dont be taken in for 2$ cases which may not hold up under long term use.
