Allied Van Lines Motorcycle shipping

My motorcycle was delivered 9/18/12. The first thing I saw when the truck door opened was the bike, the only thing on the truck, was in the back of surrounded by empty boxes, packing material and pallets. The bike was  not covered. The back of the bike was at the set back against the front bulkhead even though there was a Allied sign that said "bike is longer than pallet". The driver and I noted on shipping documents that there were at least seven chips and scratches on the bike including back fender. This damage was on all sides of the bike. When Allied Van Lines picked up the bike, their driver noted there was no scratches or chips on the bike.
Turned in a claim. Allied asked me to get estimate. Damaged estimated at $6k. They offered $1k. NO DAMAGED WHEN PICKED UP, DAMAGE WHEN DELIVERED.  WHO MIGHT BE RESPONSIBLE?????????????????????????

The only service the Allied website talks about that I got was Allied Van Lines picked up the bike and delivered

I bought this bike in MN because of it's condition. My expectation was they would deliver the same way as it was when Allied Van Lines picked it up
