A trick to avoid holes in Barbie sleeves & finger loss?

I found that while dressing Barbie, Midge or any of the fashion dolls with a sweater or anything in sleeves, I worried about possibly damaging the delicate material by accidentally poking a hole through the material, with their tiny fingers, since they aren't like children that you can tell to "make a fist" or something like that....I also worried about them even losing a pinky, since I have seen so many vintage Midge & Barbie's missing them.  I tried this little trick.....I placed one of Ken's socks over Barbies little hand, and had no problem pulling the sweater sleeve through her arm.  Job done. Sweater on with no holes. Yes, a little stretch, not much at all to notice, his socks are thin.  Try it out, work slowly. It will work, and hopefully no more missing fingers, no more little holes!
