Tattersall Pattern

I am a COACH fanatic and if you visit my store you will see that I sell many authentic Coach products. Coach often uses a pattern called Tattersall.

I was curious as to what is a Tattersall?  The pattern takes it name from the Tattersall Horse Market in London which was founded by Richard Tattersall in 1766. He was a British auctioneer. The horse blankets found at the horse market often had this checked pattern which is the origin of the name Tattersall pattern, The typical pattern has a light background with regularly spaced, thin alternating stripes, which form squares.

This pattern, often used by Coach, is also popular on flannel shirts and other articles of clothing.
