As I start to list more and more items for sale, I learn a lot about my camera, lighting and just taking pictures in general. I was recently trying to take some pictures of jewelry items. All of my pictures were coming out blurry. I was trying to zoom in with the camera to get the most detailed picture possible, but it kept backfiring. What I learned is this, back off of the item and capture the item detail once you download on your computer. It is difficult to do as the item looks very small on the camera display, but once you put in on your computer and crop out the background, it is perfect! I was also having a problem with lighting and glare as many items have shrink wrap. Solution: try turning off your flash. Create your own brightness for the project. I use a clip lamp with a movable neck (I purchased on closeout at Walmart for five bucks!) and position the light to give the best effect. I wish I had this kind of guidance before embarking on my selling project.
