Considered to be the Tiffany’s of Turquoise, Sleeping Beauty turquoise comes from the Sleeping Beauty Mine located near Globe, Arizona. Its turquoise is noted for its solid, light blue color with no matrix, or virtually no matrix.

This mine is one of the largest in North America and is still operating.  The main Sleeping Beauty mine is largely played out, so that means this stone is rapidly becoming a collector’s item.  New stones are scavenged from the massive mine tailing left behind from the former glory days of full scale production.

Sleeping Beauty turquoise is intimately associated with the high Zuni culture of the southwest.  Sleeping Beauty turquoise is the favorite of the Zuni Pueblo silversmiths for use in petit point, needlepoint, and inlay jewelry.

Sleeping Beauty Turquoise are sensational pieces of highly fashionable jewelry with plenty of natural beauty. As jewelry, it will definitely bring elegance to any ensemble.
