THIS GUIDE IS WRITTEN IN RESPONSE TO A RECENT SUDDEN SURGE OF PARAMOUNT GRADED AND ENCAPSULATED DOLLARS BEING LISTED AS REDFIELDS WHEN, IN FACT, THEY ARE NOT!!!!!  I HAVE RECENTLY NOTICED A LARGE NUMBER OF PARAMOUNT GRADED (AND SOME NON-GRADED) COINS BEING LISTED AS REDFIELDS JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE FROM PARAMOUNT. DO NOT BE FOOLED!!!! THE RULE IS SIMPLE, IF IT DOESN'T SAY, 'REDFIELD,' IT ISN'T A REDFIELD. THIS IS DIRECTLY FROM THE DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AT NGC. PARAMOUNT COINS CAN BE REDFIELDS OR REGULAR. THEY CAN BE GRADED OR NOT. THEY CAN BE IN A BLACK HOLDER, WHICH MEANS THEY ARE MS60 OR UNGRADED. THEY CAN BE IN THE RED HOLDER GRADED MS65, WHICH IS NOT RED TO REPRESENT REDFIELD, IT'S JUST RED. THERE WERE  ALSO GREEN HOLDERS ISSUED. THESE WERE FOR THE ABSOLUTELY BEST COINS AND ARE RARELY SEEN TODAY. I HAVE SEEN SOME VERY PROMINENT DEALERS WHO SHOULD KNOW BETTER, AND PERHAPS THEY DO, TRY TO CLAIM THESE NON-REDFIELD PARAMOUNT HOLDERS ARE FROM THE REDFIELD HOARD. DO NOT BE FOOLED OR MISLED. BE AWARE ANOTHER WAY THIS FRAUD CAN OCCUR IS IF ONLY THE COIN AND NOT THE HOLDER IS PICTURED IN THE LISTING WITH JUST THE DESCRIPTION LISTING IT AS REDFIELD. REMEMBER, THE RULE IS SIMPLE: IF IT DOESN'T SAY REDFIELD, IT'S NOT.
