First Thing First, Food

Pack up the grill for burgers and hot dogs, then plan a menu of snacks to soak up all that beer! The idea is for everything to be easy, small, and not require any utensils. I can get behind that 100%. You can also use the grill to warm up anything that's been made ahead of time and requires a little heating up, just bring the appropriate dishware.

Don't Rough It

It's called tailgating, but you don't actually want to use the tailgate (assuming you even have one) for holding everything. Add a small folding table to your arsenal for a makeshift bar when you're mixing cocktails and to hold all of those yummy snacks.

Timing is Everything

Show up early enough to snag a great parking spot and get the party started! You'll probably be there for a bit, so grab a few camping chairs or stools as you head out the door to kick back on in between eating and tossing that football around.

Make it a Party

Add a checkered tablecloth and maybe a few balloons so that everyone meeting up can find your vehicle easily. Don't forget to pack plenty of napkins since you'll be eating with your fingers, and some wet wipes wouldn't hurt either! Grab a collapsible trash can so you have a place to toss everything when you're done, too.

It's All About Fun

Bring your own fun and games along with you. There are so many great options available between beer pong tables, corn hole sets, and even the 'ol pigskin – the options are endless! And most are either small or collapsible – bonus.

Happy Tailgating!
