This is an actual guide to the First Edition Library by Easton Press, not just a listing of the books.  There are 36 books produced for the First Edition Library by Easton Press.  First Edition Library first produced books in the late 1980s.  There used to be a total of 112 books in the series before Easton Press purchased the company.  Easton Press had the right to produce 49 books, but the have limited the list to just 36.  The older Easton Press books contained a slip cover.  Easton Press has since eliminated the slip cover to avoid increasing the price of the books.  The 36 books produced by Easton Press are listed below in numerical order.  Easton Press is currently charging $33.40 per copy.

The series strives to produce the books exactly as they were when they were first issued.  Even original printing errors are maintained for authenticity.  The copyright text block on the book does say First Edition Library or some might say Collectors Reprints.  The other way to distinguish a First Edition Library book from the original printing is a small "FEL" on back dust jacket.  This distinguishing mark was left off the first 2500 copies printed for three books:  For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Great Gatsby, and Of Mice and Men.  Many people expressed concerns that these books could be misrepresented as authentic first editions and "FEL" was added back to the new printings.  Naturally, these books now have some small collectable value.

What Books are the Most Valuable
Any First Edition Library book with a slipcase should be more valuable than copies without a slip case.  The three books mentioned above with FEL left off the dust jacket should be more valuable.  First Edition Library books not produced be Easton Press should also be more valuable than currently available books.  The James Bond Books produced by First Edition Library are some of the most sought after copies.
