Here is a handy dandy foot deodorizer/potpourri sachet ball recipe scented in Wintergreen and Peppermint. You will need 1 cup of rock salt, 3 drops of wintergreen essential oil, 3 drops of peppermint essential oil, and 1 drop of spearmint essential oil. Place the rock salt into a bowl, and using an eyedropper for measuring add the essential oils to the rock salt and blend with a spoon for about 30 seconds. Pour the scented salt into small sachet bags and tie them up or use a square of used cloth material that you have laying around the house that you don't use anymore, and some pretty string or ribbon to tie it up into a ball. The sachet ball will last about 4 to 5 months then will need refreshing with a few more drops of the essential oils again. Use these sachet balls by tossing one into a basin of cool water to refresh your feet, put them into smelly shoes to freshen them overnight, or use them in your kids sock drawers to keep em fresh!! To test for allergies to the essential oils put 1 drop on the inside of your arm. If you get any reaction such as reddening of the skin or itching rinse well and then apply a carrier oil such as olive oil or apricot oil on it to sooth any reaction and then discontinue use.
