I have seen many Singer sewing machine manuals being sold on auction sites and it still amazes me that many people are unaware that they can obtain these manuals, usually at better prices or FREE, from the Singer Sewing web site. I have been able to find and download free manuals for my vintage Singer sewing machines as well as those for friends and family. It's as easy as that. I have downloaded my personal home Singer sewing machine manual for free and when I've had trouble finding a model number, an email to Singer has always provided me with the answer and the location of where to find that elusive one. Free downloads are available for their old, vintage machines. More recent, but out-dated model manuals can be purchased from Singer usually at a better cost than someone trying to make a fast buck on EBAY.
Go to the Singer Sewing Machine webiste at SingerCo (dot) com/accessories/manuals (dot) html - I'm not allowed to give a link outside of EBAY but I think you can figure out the web site from that - and click on the "Product Manuals" link. You can search for your model number or contact Singer directly.
If you are really good at searches and have the time to go through a parent list of available PDF manuals on their site, you can click on the "Singer Parts and Industrial Products" link on their home page and then browse through their "Consumer" or "Industrial" products links to find the manual you're looking for in downloadable PDF format. Even if you can't find the exact manual for your model, you may just be able to find a close match that can answer that question of yours! Searching the parent directory can be a bit tricky for someone not used to searches though, so remember that you can always contact Singer to see if they have your manual on file.
So, if you're looking for a manual for a vintage machine (mine was from pre-1940) the only way to get one is through the PDF download.
So come on fellow EBAY'ers. We're on here to find a deal, right?? What better deal than getting it for FREE.
Check out the Singer web site. It's chock full of information regarding your machine, and you never know, you just might find that manual for Grandma's old treadle machine from 1920.
A Google search for your manual using search parameters with Singer sewing machine and your model number can often be very helpful too!
I AM SORRY BUT I AM NOT ABLE TO HELP PERSONALLY WITH SEARCHES FOR A MANUAL. I HOPE THAT THESE FEW TIPS CAN HELP YOU FIND WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.
