If the manufacturer of your vintage CAP GUN is NOT marked/stamped on the gun, you can identify the maker by their MEDALLION LOGO. Here is a list & pictures of the major Die Cast CAP GUN makers of the 1950’s in alphabetical order:

  • Pony Head in a CIRCLE: Actoy. Actoy is a division of ESQUIRE NOVELTY CORP.
  • BH in an OVAL: Buzz Henry.
  • C-Carnell.
  • H in a DIAMOND: Halco.
  • H in an OVAL: Leslie-Henry. Leslie-Henry also used an L-H in an OVAL.
  • STAR in a CIRCLE: Hubley.
  • K in a CIRCLE: Kilgore.
  • L-H in an OVAL: Leslie-Henry. Leslie-Henry also used an H in an OVAL.
  • N in a CIRCLE: Nichols.
  • S in a CIRCLE: Stevens.
  • Y&.: Wyanddotte.

Even though the above list is certainly not complete, hopefully it will give you a basic guide to identifying the most common Cap Gun manufacturers of the 1950's.  If you found this guide helpful, please click the 'yes' button below. Thank you, TheBreezeHouse
