Everyone that comes to Ebay is looking for a good deal, right? Of Course! Ebay is the hot spot to get a great deal and usually we wind up paying LESS than the current retail value for the items we are buying. Now of course come Christmas time many items are very hot commodities. They could be out of stock at your local store, and of course when that happens you have someone on your list that just HAS to have it, so you pay more.  I think we're all guilty of doing that at one point or another.

Lately I have seen a ton of auctions listed for Creative Memories products and I have to say that I am sick over what I have seen! 95% of the products listed, that are currently available from Creative Memories, are being sold at a higher cost than what the retail values are!

I'll give you an example.

There is an auction that is ending in about 10 minutes for the Just Released Power Pallette System - Cottage Style. The bids are over $80 with a $12.95 shipping charge. The complete system retails for $59.95 and most consultants will ship that to you for $5 or less!

By now you must be wondering if I am a CM Consultant. The answer is YES! I AM a proud Creative Memories Consultant! And as a Consultant, it makes me sick to think that there are so many Ebayers out there that are being taken advantage of. And that is exactly what is happening.

I know that some of you prefer to buy off of Ebay because you don't want to deal with a "pushy consultant", but is not dealing with a consultant really worth being ripped off? I know too, that some of you are looking for items that are discontinued. I myself have bought some discontinued items from Ebay. But I know what the retail value of items are, and refuse to pay more than that, and I refuse to pay the high shipping costs!

That's another way that sellers make money off of you. I have seen many CM items listed where the bid winds up being less than the retail value, but the shipping is way too high. Here's another example.

Karen bids on a tape runner (RV- $6.75) for $5.00 and wins. The seller of the item has a flat rate shipping cost of $5.50. Karen's total is $10.50 plus insurance if she wants it. An item that small and light weight should cost no more than $1.50 to ship via 1st Class Mail, in a padded envelope. Karen has been overcharged.

I highly encourage you to please check the CM price of an item before you bid on it. As I said allready, CM products are very popular on Ebay and sellers ARE taking advantage of buyers. Don't let yourself be one of them!

If you have any questions regarding Creative Memories please feel free to let me know. I will do my very best to answer them quickly and honestly, or direct you to someone who can if I don't know.
