Embracing natural products is the best way to take care of your skin!

I'm definitely a fiend for new beauty products, but I find that I always revert back to products that either feature natural ingredients or are natural in and of themselves. Sometimes the best skincare you can find is hiding right in your pantry! I usually use these 5 natural beauty essentials in tandem with my other favorite beauty products. They are also great in a pinch if you've run out of another skincare product!

1. Coconut Oil

Honestly, I'm not really sure there's something that Coconut Oil can't do! It really does do it all. I use it for all kinds of things, including:

  • as a makeup remover
  • as a facial moisturizer
  • to soften my heels and elbows
  • as a deep conditioning treatment for my hair
  • to help heal burns or minor scrapes
  • as a lip balm
  • to soften my rough cuticles

And that's just a short list!

2. Himalayan Pink Salt

Himalayan Pink Salt is another favorite of mine for its overwhelming benefits. I use this salt when I feel like pampering myself. It is rich in minerals, as well as trace elements of calcium, magnesium, and iron.

It makes a great scrub for your skin when you mix it with coconut oil and your favorite essential oils.

3. Argan Oil

Organic Argan Oil is another natural beauty essential about which I could talk all day. This oil is high in vitamin E and fatty acid content, so it's perfect for using on your dry skin or hair. It also absorbs very quickly and is non-greasy, which is why I use it on my hair to protect the ends from heat styling.

4. Unrefined Shea Butter

Unrefined Shea Butter is one of the very best ways to moisturize your skin. It contains a high percentage of fatty acids and natural vitamins, making it the ultimate nourishment for your skin. I also find that my skin texture is a lot smoother after I use shea butter. You can use it solo or in combination with essential oils and coconut oil for extra impact.

5. Rose Water

Rose Water is a great way to smell awesome and benefit your skin. A few benefits of rose water include:

  • maintaining your skin's natural pH balance
  • fighting blemishes

  • hydrating the skin

  • cooling the skin

  • reducing inflammation and redness
  • stress relief
