By now there are many of the 2012 U.S. Mint products starting to appear on eBay. These
are always popular collectables as many collectors want the current year's products for
their collection. In this guide I focus on seven of the most popular current U.S. Mint
releases and give the average price they have been selling for on eBay auctions.
2012 Proof Set, 14 coins - A 14 coin set with three protective lens. All coins carry an "S"
mint mark. The set consists of: (5) America the Beautiful Quarters, (4) Presidential $1
Coins, (1) Native American $1 Coin, (1) Kennedy half-dollar, (1) Roosevelt dime, (1)
Jefferson five-cent coin and (1) Lincoln cent. The mint is currently selling the sets for
$31.95 plus shipping. The average auction closing price on eBay is $40.00. By the way,
there aren't that many available for auction on eBay right now.
2012 Silver Proof Set, 14 coins - A 14 coin set with three protective lens (see figure 1).
All coins carry an "S" mint mark. The dime, quarters, and half dollar are struck in 90
percent silver. The set consists of: (5) America the Beautiful Quarters, (4) Presidential $1
Coins, (1) Native American $1 Coin, (1) Kennedy half-dollar, (1) Roosevelt dime, (1)
Jefferson five-cent coin and (1) Lincoln cent. The mint is currently selling the sets for
$67.95 plus shipping. The average auction closing price on eBay is $72.00.

2012 Presidential $1 Coin Proof Set - A four coin set in a protective lens. The four
presidents featured are: Chester Arthur, Grover Cleveland (first term), Benjamin
Harrison, and Grover Cleveland (second term). The mint is currently selling the set for
$18.95 plus shipping. The average auction closing price on eBay is $19.00.
2012 America the Beautiful Quarters Proof Set - A five coin set in a protective lens. The
five site featured are: El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico, Chaco Culture National

(see figure 2). The five site featured are: El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico,

Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park in Hawaii, and Denali National Park and Preserve in
Alaska. All carry an "S" mint mark and are made from 90 percent silver. The mint is
currently selling the set for $41.95 plus shipping. The average auction closing price on
eBay is $40.00. Several of the sets of the five quarters have been slabbed by NGC which
grade MS70 Ultra Cameo and are currently selling for an average of $100.00 on eBay.
