The Event of the Year
To everyone who joined us at eBay Live! in Chicago, we'd like to thank you for helping us make our 7th eBay Community gathering a great success. Thousands of conference attendees, over 700 eBay employees, and hundreds of exhibitors came together from all over the world to share in the education and inspiration you can only find at eBay Live!
Special thanks to the speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors who brought the knowledge and experience to make this event so rewarding for everyone.
Major highlights of eBay Live! 2008 included:
- Six tracks and hundreds of education sessions and learning events over three days which gave buyers and sellers of all sizes new tools and insights on how to make their eBay experience more fun and profitable.
- A powerful "state of the marketplace" Keynote Address delivered by John Donahoe, eBay President and CEO, and Lorrie Norrington, President, eBay Marketplace Operations. We also held an awards ceremony for our Hall of Fame award-winners.
- The Town Hall meeting on Saturday gave hundreds a chance to ask about and discuss important issues with top eBay executives.
- The Solutions Center Expo Hall had more than 100 exhibitors displaying their unique tools and solutions to help eBay Community members do business faster and easier.
- The eBay Live! Book Store gave everyone a chance to relax, enjoy some coffee, and read a new book-then get that book signed by some of the foremost authors on online buying and selling.
- AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, the Closing Gala gave everyone the chance to celebrate with some amazing food, drinks, and a dance-till-you-dropped show with Chris Isaak!
