Our 3 pound density memory foam is the less dense and softer foam we carry.
It is mostly for the smaller person under 150lbs giving good support and pressure
points where needed.

The 4 pound density memory foam is firmer and soft at the same time but provides
more supportive compresion. This Memory Foam mattress topper is for all small,
medium and large people up to 250lbs.

The 5 pound density is Our most luxurious memory foam memory.
It is firmer and more supportive than our 3LB and 4LB Density foams.
It is for all small, medium, large and extra large people up to 350lbs. The 5lb Density Memory Foam mattress topper will provide optimal support than any other brand on the market.

My personal recommendation:
Thickness: you should look for at least 3 inches of 4lb to 5lb density memory
foam. 3 inches gives you a proper amount of material to cushion and conform
to your body. While you could get by with 2 inches of memory foam (top layer) in a mattress, 3 inches is plusher and a more comfortable feel for most people. It's a nice depth of foam where you wouldn't sink uncomfortably into the bed or lose the support of the base foam. I've seen memory foam mattresses that offer much thicker memory foam layers and they feel too cushy - you get sucked in, and adjusting from side to side can be a real problem.

Densities: for a long time I've often heard from customers that they liked the feel of the "less dense memory foams" (memory foams 4 lb density or so) That was because people felt these 4lb memory foams had a softer, more user friendly feel while the higher density memory foams could feel stiff and could be difficult to move around in.

MAKE SURE you ask for the exact density of the foam. Do not buy if the Seller refuse to provide you with the exact density numbers.

Most sellers online will not tell you exactly the density of the foam. This is how 95% of sellers will take your money. They list their foams product with numbers like 3.5, 4.5, 5.5 or 6.5 and even 8.5 in the item description. Be aware, THIS IS NOT THE DENSITY, they use these numbers to make you think your are buying a high density quality memory foam, this is misleading and false Advertising. The truth is that you are buying an underrated foam and its low selling price reflects that. Remember this, the more density the more quality and expensive the foam is.

As a general rule of thumb, you should avoid the noticeably inexpensive pads or mattress you will find on the market. They are generally made of either low density memory foam or cheaper ingredients. These inexpensive memory foams just won't give the same comfort as higher quality pads and will wear out relatively fast.

Before we started distributing foam products, we were horrified at the different insider stories we heard, such as manufacturers putting inexpensive fillers (like sand, and other materials.) into the foam to save money, rather than using the more expensive polymers materials used in making true memory foam. We had no idea that these practices were going on among manufacturers, and we surely didn't want our customers to end up with these lower quality products. That is one of the reasons we settled on our current mattress and topper pad supplier. They are very concerned about the quality of the memory foams they use, and only use those foams that are certified to meet very rigorous quality control standards.
