Vizio SV470XVT 47" 1080p HD LCD Television

I was a little hesitant to buy this big of a product online. I have never paid this much money for a product online before and was a little scared. Other things that cost a little less was like no big deal, not a big loss if something happened. Because this was free shipping, if something happened, I was responsible for the return shipping and that alone would have been too much for me. But, this was the best purchase I have ever made! I am so glad I bought this tv. It is veru high quality, the sound on this thing is great, the picture is so clear I cant describe it. It's crazy to think that looking at this tv is clearer than looking at something live. Iknow, CRAZY. It has made playing with the Wii with my family even more fun than we were already having. The picture is so big and clear. I love watching the Cavs and cant wait to see my Steelers on it!
It is lite weight, has a lot of ports for extra stuff to hook up to it (vcr,dvd,blue ray disc, nintendo 64,Xbox etc.),ports for extra sound, a cool looking remote. I just like to display that thing out on my coffee table because it looks so good.
I am very satisfied with my new tv.

This HDTV is great right out of the box and set up in minutes, it has a sharp piture and nice sound. My next tv will be a vizio.

TV has a great picture and OK sound. I believe the picture could be better if I fully understood and knew what all the settings do. Picture is good but in fast action scenes it has some lines that appear (seems to be when playing an action game) and some standard definition programs look bad. On the up side, when coupled to a PS3 playing blue-ray the picture is great.

After learning the basic knowledge of HDTV, I selected the VIZIO 47 inch set. Just the right size for the viewing distance of the room. Too big is uncomfortable. The fast install page and book instructions were very informative. The price was less than competitive HDTV units and I am pleased with the picture product.

Buy Dakota has been wonderful to deal with. They refunded the price of the extended warranty that I purchased through them, when the unit arrived DOA, and they have followed up to make sure I was satisfied.

Vizio was a whole different story It took Vizio 18 days to get a technician out to repair it, and the Vizio Customer Service folks were barely responsive, insisting first that it was simply a faulty remote.

The unit has been wonderful in the last 24 hours since it was repaired.
