Understanding Wood Finishing by Bob Flexner (1999, Paperback)

Flexner does an outstanding job with this one. Solid, user-friendly, explanations, photo-quality pictures, and easy to understand and follow, disseminated, vernacular is the way of the day throughout this text. I am relatively new to the finishing game, and purchased this text primarily for it's information regarding hvlp lacquer applications. Though this is not the preeminent source for spraying techniques (cannot find something that really is... experience, I guess!), the wealth of information provided throughout makes this book well worth its price. The elements contained in this book, even if used just as a quick reference guide, make it an excellent addition to any shop... pro or otherwise!
