It does not work or even install on any sort of recent Macintosh computers.
You may think you're getting a bargain by having a license for some expensive software come "for free" with the scanner, but the reality is that it is worse than useless.
Go for the cheaper "SE" version of this nice little piece of hardware and buy Vuescan (a cheaper, less-dysfunctional, but still shoddy) software to drive it.
The hardware is very good for the price. (Glacially slow given USB2, and each slide must be fed manually, but I knew that up front and expected it.)
