Love this item a lot. Replaced two old factory speakers in a 1994 camry and after installing it sounds great! It isnt the strongest on bass but is a very good speaker for those into pop, jazz and anything else not heavy metal or hip hop. Very Happy With the product.
I thought i was only buying a cheap substitute for my broken 12-year old kickers (couldn't afford to buy new sets of kickers) for my system on my '02 Toyota 4Runner composed of a JBL 625W 4-channel amp that would drive these and a pair of 5 1/2 Pioneer TS-G1343R(which i also won from dealtree), a Kenwood 800W 2-channel amp to drive 2 Pioneer Champion Series 12' subs. I tell you....these are comparable with the top of the line speakers out there. Very balanced, very good mids and highs (i don't know about the bass because i turned it off from the jbl built-in crossover), does not distort on very high volume. Right now, all my speakers are pioneers and i'm very, very happy with my system. Thanks dealtree!!!
As soon as I took these speakers out of their package I was stunned at the quality....they looked like $100 pair of speakers.....that I got for 15% of that.
Installing them was easy as cake in my GF's Chevy Metro. They even made the car's garbage Jensen after market stereo sound good, imagine what they could do with a good receiver...
The speakers reproduced great highs, medium highs, mediums, mid low's were not exactly the greatest...but nothing a small sub couldn't replace. And as for the lows....well they weren't exactly there, but what do you expect?? LOL
Not the best 6.5 speaker on the market, but then one is not paying a premium price either. They sound good and work in the space i had available. I would buy again- which says it all.
I bought these speakers for just under $20 (shipping included.) For the money you can't go wrong, they sound pretty good & probably outperform most factory OEM speakers. These replaced 2 Infinity Gold speakers that were 15 years old, had 300k miles & were falling apart. The Pioneers are actually a step down in sound quality - they're not as loud as the old speakers & do not have as broad a dynamic range. I suspect that they'd seem better if I replaced all 4 in my SUV with these so they's all match. Overall they were a great buy for the money. If you're looking to build a kickin' system, you'll need to spend more money. If you're on a budget, these will do the job.
