With a 2.5-inch form factor, the drive is suitable for notebook computers. A 1.5 Gbps SATA interface in the 5400 RPM drive enables efficient data transfer, making the Western Digital internal HDD suitable for gaming applications. With a cache memory of 8 MB, the 5400 RPM drive lets you search and retrieve the stored records in seconds. WD ShockGuard technology in the Western Digital internal HDD prevents shocks from damaging the drive mechanics and platter surfaces. WD's SecurePark ensures perfect placement of the head securely and away from the disk, protecting the disk when the 250 GB Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD2500BEVS is not in use. I bought the Oreck XL thinking I was getting quite a steal but see this model is discounted even on the Oreck site. Still, ebay was $20 less. I love the lightness and ease of maneuvering the vacuum. It vacuums well and I am very happy with my purchase.
Note to Oreck...how about attachments and making a bagless product? But I guess that would defeat the weight aspect...

Really great vacuum, gets the dirt and dog hair on one pass. Lightweight and easy to handle. Changing the bag is a breeze.

) I have used Oreck vacuums for over 20 years in my home. They are so light weight and easy to use, you are not exhausted after vacuuming several rooms at one time! I refuse to buy any other brand!

We Love our Oreck XL2200

) We purchased this vac as a replacement for our 12 year old Oreck XL9800.
This is the same quality and performance that we come to expect. It took me a month to discover the new unit does not have a headlight. This goes to show how unimportant that feature was on the old vac. The new vac has a pouch inside the bag for a scent tab (about the size of a Lifesaver candy) to be placed. This really works to give the room a fresh smelling scent when you are done. I'm very happy with the looks, features, and performance of this XL2200.
These Orecks blow away any of the "OLD IRON" we were using years ago.

classic oreck xl

I bought the Oreck Classic because I have a bad back.The minute I lifted the box I was surprised with how light the box felt.The vacuum ran so smooth across my carpet.I was happy to see all of my dogs hair gone from the carpet when I was done.I love how easy it turns on just push the button and its ready.The only bad thing is its noisy but hey what vacuum that works isn't noisy.
