Merial Frontline Plus For Dogs 89 - 132 lb

I have been using Frontline Plus for more than 1 1/2 years now. It will help get rid of lice on dogs and cats, in addition to being effective to eliminate fleas and ticks.

My only personal complaint is the way Merial measures it for various pets' weights. A more effective measurement is .5 ml per 10 pounds. This is easily accomplished and will save a person money if he/she buys the large dog size; then empties the vial into a container with a seal to store for later. Small syringes without needles work fine to measure the dosage per pet; then apply it per Frontline Plus instructions.

Frontline a flea control product for dogs & cats is one of the older & in my opinion one of the safest products available to pet owners. After many conversations with several veterinarians this has been my chice of flea control for many years. I have several dogs from mid age to older (15 y/o) age I have never had any problems with reactions to use of this product. It is quiet simple to use just pull the hair backwards at the point between the shoulders & squeeze the applicator to apply. It is considered waterproof after 1 hour from application, it has no unpleasant odor & my dogs dont even seem to feel the application. The vets tell me that it is considered one of the safer products on the market. It doesnt kill the fleas if any are present within 20 min like some products but it does within the first 24 hours. To help with this i do a Flea shampoo the morning before I apply in the afternoon if I suspect a flea presence. Also it works well if you live in an area where ticks are a problem, it doesnt prevent ticks from getting on your dog but it does kill them if they do. Many of the newer products dont control ticks!!! Sufice it to say I really like this product!

I like that it keeps fleas and ticks off my dogs I have three. I also think without it my dogs would be itching everyday from flea bites. I think it is an excellent product to buy. I've tryed other products but nothing helped my dogs with their dermatitis. This product I feel confident this product will keep on working for a full month. Also keeps dog lice and brown dog ticks gone for a full month with little odor. This product is easy to apply. Just remove from foil, and a pipette has a tip that breaks off easy you can apply it to the dogs coat between the shoulder blade near the dogs neck. Just seperate the dogs coat near the skin and apply. The whole pipette needs to be applied. You need to be careful you don't wet the hair after applying this will leave the hair sticky in your treatment spot. I think I will keep buying this product as it has helped me put an end to my dogs flea problems. I would refer this product to anyone who has a dog since its helped my dogs also with ticks to.

I love Frontline Plus it is not only reasonable in price but it is efficient in it's purchase, safe to use for your pet and family as well very simple to apply. I continuously purchase the large dog formulation and then use and independent dosage chart to break up the dosage into an appropriate one for my three small dogs. Frontline works the best for fleas, I use the Frontline plus in conjunction with Apple Cider Vinegar in a "rub" to repel and treat fleas. Fontline Plus also detours and kills several other parasites we have in our area.I have tried many many flea and tick repellents and killing agents in a wide variety from conventional, home remedy, holistic, prescription and the price ranges of these products I have found to have zero correlation with their ability to work effectively or at all.


Bottom line Frontline Plus is the best on my budget and safely kills dangerous parasites continuously and consistently.Great safe formula.

My only complaint is that it doesn't actually repel ticks preventing them from biting all together.

This product works great. The ingredients are the same in the cat and dog frontline products. I like to buy the big dog formula, so that I can break it down to a usable dose for my little dogs and cats. I use 0.5cc for my cats and dogs that are under 20lb. What a savings! We live in a hot enviroment and the fleas never die. I apply this product monthly to our animals and no signs of fleas. I am able to bathe the dogs weekly, as it is waterfast within 2 days. Great product-I highly recommend this for our little friends!
