Frontline plus for dogs is my go-to product when it come to flea control on my dog. The Frontline main ingredient seems to work much better than any over-the-counter products I have tried. To be most effective, I have found that washing and drying the dog before application and vacuuming and shampooing the houses carpets with the addition of a living space approved insecticide keeps the dog tick free for the longest time. Dogs that go outdoors will get fleas and tics. Frontline Plus helps keep them controlled.

Frontline Plus not only kills fleas in all stages, but it also kills ticks. Living in FL, we have a plethora of both species. I purchsed this item because of it killing ticks as well as fleas. Some name-brand flea treatments do not kill ticks. Read the small print carefully so that you, and your dog, won't be disappointed with your purchase. Using the name-brand is more costly than the "kick-off" brands. However, it is so much easier to administer to your beloved pet. Frontline Plus is more effective than any other flea treatment I have ever purchased for my best friend, Nilla. And, she's worth every penny!

I love that Frontline Plus is real protection for your dogs. I have used many products in my years of owning dogs, and I'm almost always disappointed--by less than stellar protection and by hard to use, greasy products. Frontline is easy to put on, just split the hair at the shoulders and deposit the whole vial. The dog's hair does get a little bit greasy at that spot for a day or two, but that's miles better than others I have used, and it isn't across the whole back like most other products.

The absolute best thing, though, is the protection. I was sick of using products that wore off after the dog got wet or had a bath or just simply wore off within a week. Frontline lasts the whole month, and I never see any ticks on him--ever! My dog hates when I apply liquid tick and flea protection, but the ease of application makes it quick and it's over before he knows what's happening. Plus, having the whole application between his shoulder blades means he can't lick at the product, which was a big problem with others. He would try to lick it off, and then for the next week, he would lick at the air to try to get it off. With Frontline, I don't have to worry about what he's licking off his fur because he can't get to it.

I have used Frontline for 2 years and was satisfied with it till I did some research. Just moved from the plains of Texas to Florida (major bug area). Took my dogs to a trainer and they came back with a total of 3 engorged ticks. We picked them off upon arriving home and washed them. Then two days later another tick (not engorged) so we knew this was new. Turns out Frontine doesn't deter ticks just kills them after 2 days. Whereas, Advantax claims to repel and kill. We are definitly making the switch.

Frontline is a great product, and it really does keep the fleas and ticks away. I make sure to use it once a month, the same time that the yard man is spraying my yard for insects. I have three cats and just the one dog; I lost two dogs to diseases this past year, unfortunately. I like the price on Ebay much better than the vet's pricing, but it would still be nice if the company would come down a bit more on the price. Their profit margin is enormous. I have four animals to treat, and it can get to be very expensive, but I would not live without it. I am in the country where stray cats, rats, possums, raccoons, and all sorts of other creatures get into the yard, carrying fleas and ticks. I need to have something that works, and this does work.
