The LG Glance is a skinny yet stylish basic camera phone with decent photo and call quality.
The LG Glance's woven metal back may seem a little cheesy, and the mobile e-mail application costs extra.
The LG Glance is an affordable sleek and stylish entry-level camera phone for Verizon Wireless customers.

In addition to a life, I already have a desktop and a laptop. If the need ever arises for Smartphone/App type tasks, I would get a tablet (or an iPod) to carry with me. So I'm covered there.
What I DO need however, is a cell phone; you know, to make and receive PHONE CALLS and the occasional text. And in my not unsubstantial experience, Verizon is the only reliable and fully functional cell network for voice calls.
But my requirements...no touch screens (adult sized fingers) and no minute text sizes (adult eyes)create a problem. Verizon currently offers zero satisfactory handsets for me. My only alternative is a non-current set. Enter the LG Glance. While it has a very nice camera (still pics only) it's true beauty is how it performs it's primary task. As a PHONE!
-Ultra ultra thin and light, but with a great feel and heft.
-VERY readable screen.
-Large PHYSICAL keys with nice feedback (and a raised #5 so you can dial without looking).
-Cheap and available batteries, cases etc.
-Amazing speakerphone, great voice options, and an unusually abundant number of pre-installed ringtones, including (no surprise I'd like this one) a regular Telephone Ring.
Also, I have almost 1000 contacts, which leads me to my personal fave feature called Dial Search. I have yet to see this feature on any other Verizon phone. Without any navigation or need to leave the home screen, it enables you to just pick the phone up, press a couple of letters (i.e. 5,5 for M and O) and VOILA! Any of your contacts that qualify instantly appear in the lower part of the screen. The more letters you enter, the more the search narrows. Then press down on the navigation button/nub to the desired callee's name (Mom in the prior example) and hit Send. You're connected immediately. I know this feature sounds trivial, but trust me. You'd be amazed at how satisfying the elimination of just one or two steps can feel once you start using this.
The only downside is the aforementioned nub, which could stand to be a tad larger. But that is the only minor flaw. If LG was smart, they would just slap a touchscreen (for non-phone uses, apps, web, text if desired, etc.) on the BACK of this puppy (I told you it was thin) and they would have a PERFECT Smartphone for my tastes.
But it appears not many folks share my needs and tastes, so alas...
Anyway, if you want a terrific, light, ultrathin, readable, great-sounding Verizon cellphone, seek out and obtain a Glance. It earns my highest praise, which is "It doesn't suck".
This phone has a very slim form factor which is why I bought it, and I am glad I did! The build quality of this phone is amazing; definitely feels worth the $90 i spent if not more. The buttons have a good response and the phone doesn't feel "cheap." The screen is beautiful and has a very high resolution for the small screen size. Be forewarned that the features on this phone aren't anything to rave over, but it's enough for the light, casual user. It does have 1.3MP camera on the back, which is good in a pinch, Bluetooth, web, etc. I just purchased this phone to use on the PagePlus network for the occasional call and it works beautifully! Easy set up with no problems whatsoever. It has good call quality/cellular reception, and is overall a great phone choice for someone looking for a slim, stunning phone with the basics!
If you are tired of flipping your flip phone open and close that is all gone with this phone. Simply touch the unlock button and you are ready to go. Because of its small size I find myself using the speaker phone a lot. Works great and is probably better for you not having a cell phone close to your head. PROS: No flipping, small thin fits in your pocket, easy to use, big screen, feels sturdy has a lot of metal parts. Battery life has been excellent for me. Phone sounds good for both user and person on the other end. Signal is always as good or better than any other phone I've had. Verizon users here is a tip, dial *228 option 2 and update your roaming software every month. Really helps improve your reception. CONS: Camera only works under the best of light conditions, Texting is real slow. When typing you have to wait about 1-2 seconds before you can enter the next letter. Heavy texters will go nuts with this phone. RECOMMENDATIONS: LG make the phone slightly longer and wider, speed up the texting and put a really nice camera in there. I like it. But I would recommend potential buyers might want to wait and see if a new and improved model comes out soon. If LG fixes those CONS it would be a super little phone.
One of Verizon Wireless's best phone they have ever had, this phone is not sold by Verizon Wireless anymore because technology has moved on & this phone is a simple one. Big numbers are easy to see & move visible, one of the most slim Verizon phone & LG is the best manufacturer as far as phone being able to get signals. The downfall of it is being too simple, doesn't have sometime as simple as an external memory option/slot but it does have other basic things like color screen/bluetooth/speaker phone/headset/1.3 mega-pixel camera etc.
It's one of the most slender phones I've ever owned and fits in my pocket nicely. Easy to use. Quick setup. Good call quality. In the age of smart phones, it's nice to have the option to go simple again. This along with my iPod Touch are all I need to be productive.
