I bought this because it was pleasing to the eye AND it was a touch screen. However, even after re-calibrating, the touch feature was difficult to use. And just forget about using the internet browser on this phone. The screen is too small & you'll spend more time resizing and scrolling around than you will reading the page content. After about a month, the phone started to randomly turn off & restart itself. The problem got worse as time went on. As for customization, it offered a handful of different themes but they were all pretty plain. Where ringtones are concerned, you can use one of the many that come on the phone OR you can use a song you've downloaded. The camera isn't that great but you can still take some decent pictures. If you take a lot of pictures or plan on having a lot of music on the phone, you definitely need to get an SD card or you'll quickly run out of memory. The best thing about this phone was the QWERTY keyboard. It makes text messaging a breeze so this phone would be great for somebody who likes to text a lot and doesn't need good, dependable web capabilities.

Let me go over why I hate this phone so much!!!
I got my first phone in September of 2010 when it was still offered as a warrantied phone (like what Verizon would sell as refurbished replacements with upgrades) and it broke within a month. Just stopped powering on, stuck at the Verizon logo, I called and complained to Verizon, and they sent me another phone, which arrived with a loud ring, but whenever you talked to somebody, the speaker would quiet up. I called back YET AGAIN, and they sent me another that didn't hold a charge, the battery was awful with this device (any of the 3) I should have known with my friends experience (9 of these units) it wasn't going to be a good phone, but I read the positive reviews, and they sucked me in.
The camera is pretty good, although I would like to see some improvement on the video side. When a video is replayed back on the computer, it retains same good quality, but the sound has somehow turned out to some tinny kinda crap, can't make out what it is saying and is VERY garbled. How anyone understands these videos (what the person is saying or what is going on,I don't know)
Whenever I wanted to select something on the touchscreen, I'd tap, and the phone WOULD GET THIS!!!! SCROLL. It wouldn't select. Oh yeah and try to calibrate, it will always tell you that it failed to calibrate, but off-calibration actually got it to work somewhat better.
And if you ask why i didn't use the keyboard, was not my chance not to use it. A day after my warranty went out, the WHOLE Inside QWERTY DIED.
Oh and then the calls dropped, that was an almost daily occurrence starting a couple months ago. When upgrade time came i got a Samsung Sway phone, and as soon as it arrived, smashed the ENV TOUCH with a hammer, and said "DROP MY CALL NOW"
No one should have to have these issues, or suffer through this crappy phone, either get rid of it, or don't get it. I have saved you from hours of phone calls with customer support. i wouldnt even give this to an enemy

Good Phone. with keyboard which can be text. Very Highly rated in Consumer Reports. Drop 5 times in street before it breaks.
Very cheap replacement. Only $100 last year and now at 2012, I paid only $50 or less.
