I have one of these. It has a variety of outputs, including component and composite as well as HDMI, and supports all HDTV resolutions, including 1080i (which many Netflix boxes do not support). As a result, it is compatible with some older HDTVs that do not work with a lot of modern devices. The Netflix client works, but it is somewhat awkward to use compared with other Netflix clients I've seen, and it is slow for browsing titles and occasionally seems to have difficulty connecting with Netflix. I had good results with both wired and wireless internet connections, but it is a bit slow to pick up the internet connection after it turns on. Not a top-of-the-line blu-ray or Netflix player, but it works, and has excellent device compatibility.
Bought as DVD cheap replacement player.
Plays DVD, Audio formats (As MP3 and WMA), video formats (As MP4, AVI). No playlists, no sorting of any kind (Album name, Performer). Easy home WiFi setup but unable to connect to Netflix or any oter available choice, just done latest firmware update but nothing changed. It feeze when I try to connect to any online media provider, need to turn off and back on to operate. I didn't try any of blueray DVDs.
It does what I need it for, so not to bad buy for $35
Bought first one, had to send back because did not have sound, second one, send back because would not read DVD or blu ray and would not connect to Netflix, send it back and ask for refund, truly a piece of junk :(
This player has proven to be an excellent addition to our viewing pleasure. Not only does it provide quality picture, but we enjoy the ability to use it to access Netflix.
Its a great player but I don't have the one in the picture above which is an Insignia NS-WBRDVD2 I have the first one which is the Insignia NS-WBRDVD. So I got the wrong player. Thanks.
