First I would like to say I'm a T-Mobile fan, no contract etc. This phone was able to accept the simm card with the minutes and T-Mobile had no problem transferring them to the new phone. Their customer service person here in the USA was most helpful as always.
The "tap phone" is very nice, it has better toys built in than the old flip phone. I was able to find videos on Youtube on to use it and was able to download some videos convert them and get them into the phone as well as several mp3 files. I've added a 2gb mem card another ebay special.
This is surely not a droid or Iphone but for the price it works well and I have no complaints. Now when I'm around my family they all have Iphones and start the screen tapping I can tap on mine and not feel like a tappin orphan.
The only problem I have is the wife thinks she can use it and to be quite truthful she is tech challenged and her fingers become five thumbs.
My last word is this was a great deal for me.
T-MOBILE customer service has an average wait time of over 40 minutes and they just keep sending you to different departments with long wait times untill you give up.they kept taking $96 a month from my bank account for 5 months and would not provide a confirmation number to close down my month to month account.the product did not work as it was suposed to and i went back into the store immediatly and an employee told me that the technology was flawed and that they were having serious problems and kept selling the same product and service anyways.the bank that was once known as WAMU said they could not get my money back and advised me to close the account.i spent well over 60 hours on the phone with Tmobile just trying to get a refund or a properly working setup or at least get a confirmation number to shut down the billing me for nothing every month-the customer service rep even threatened to call the police on me when he found out the other customers could hear my conversation with customer service as i was inside a tmobile store while on the stores phone to customer service-the store manager wouldnt even talk to me as he said there's nothing he could do for me ,he just dialed the number and handed me the phone. i ALSO have a disposable tmobile phone and they promise in text messages to me and in their brochures that as a gold rewards member i would get all refills with FREE 15% AIRTIME-this never happens AND TMOBILE IS A STRAIGHT UP RIPOFF.go elsewhere ot risk a nightmare like i have had with them.spread the word.my toyota truck now says in big bold letters- DON'T BUY T-MOBILE best wishes and hopes this helps someone not get ripped off by t-mobile as there are much better choices out there. wheres the $643 refund check that took me over 60 hours with tmobile customer service to not get? today my service is shut down and i waited for an hour and never even got a real person on the phone-SCCCAMMERS - A REAL NIGHMARE - TMOBILE IS A BAD JOKE
This phone is nice if you like a touch key board. Browse the internet and check emails. Its pretty good as starter phone.
As a step up to a touch phone, I'm not missing the reactive screen. Further just being an Android it is light years beyond my Windows Mobile phone. Screen is a little small but for quick read & lookup it's fine. Big fingers do find it hard to type on the keyboard. 3.5mm audio jack is good why doesn't every phone have this? Others in family have iphones which I've played with; I'd guess sensitivity and reaction is better than this Comet but only slightly. For the money it delivers and is the best handheld device I've had since the old Palm M500 days.
The Tap is a great phone for first time touch srceen user. I think T-Mobile has a winner in this phone and their prepaid service. They can't be beat by any other prepaid service out there. Most cost effective service to date...
