Dyson DC24 All Floors Upright Cleaner

We have been interested in purchasing a Dyson upright cleaner for the past 4-6 months, but we didn't want to pay the full retail price for a new unit. I bid on 5 different Dyson 24 auctions, the fifth auction was the charm as the price was within our threshold price.
The auction seller mislisted the unit as a Dyson 24 upright, it is actually a Dyson 25. We got the Dyson 25 at the price bid for the Dyson 24, nice deal.

Features we like about the Dyson 25 are it's light weight, the center ball supports the machine's weight when in operation, its easy to move around furniture, and the collection canister's design helps in quick and effortless emptying directly into a trash can.

We're still learning how to use the Dyson 25 and do not have any dislike comments.

In the past 37 years we have owned 4 vacuum cleaners, we use them until they wear out. The Dyson 25 is by far the best vacuum we have purchased.

We recently bought another Dyson DC24 to use in our second home. We like the DC24 in particular because it's lightweight and that means we will vacuum more often and in more places around the house since it's easy to carry up and down stairs and to separated areas. The ball design makes it more maneuverable, as the ads say, and you'll be handling a lot less weight than a standard upright Hoover, for example. The head width is smaller than average, so it's easier to get in tight spaces between furniture, although that also means more back and forth in wide open spaces. However, despite the detachable hose, it's not a replacement for a small cannister vacuum that we need for cleaning and dusting in high and low places that would be difficult or impossible to reach with an upright. So far we haven't broken the Dyson drive belt for the rotating brush and I can't say whether or not it lasts longer than the one in our Hoover that seems to need replacement fairly often. Four stars only because it can't do every high and low cleaning job.

The best investment in floor care we have ever made! Lightweight, easy to maneuver and DOES THE JOB. A friend of ours is in the flooring business and he recommended the Dyson; also, the man who cleaned our carpet used a Dyson to pre-vacuum. This cleaner picks up well and the "bagless" dirt canister is great. We love this machine mostly because it has brought our Berber carpeting back to life, especially the "packed down" hallway. Now to get the staircase up to snuff!

I have tried just about every vacuum cleaner possible, and the results were terrible. This Dyson DC24 is amazing! It pulls dirt from deep within my carpet. Having pets, the suction power of this machine is great. At first, hearing all the hype about the Dyson I said that it probably wasn't true...but it is! The amazing thing about this particular machine is that it was purchased as used. It works and operates I believe as a new machine would. To date, no problems with this machine. And it was backed up with a fantastic warranty (once I registered online). So far, everything that I have heard and seen on this machine is true. You have to get your own; and make your own judgement...but for me, it is a great machine!!!!

This vacuum is awesome. Even used this does a better job cleaning than my mothers brand new "other" brand. I can't believe how well of a job this does on my floors. Whether they are carpet or my hardwood floors. It is lightweight and makes it handy to use the attachment to get to the hard to reach places. This is the cleaner to own.
