This is an awesome unit

This MXR pedal is built to last... It's solid in design and sounds amazing. I love the fact that it has a 'MODULATION' button. I've always used Boss delay pedals until now; the Carbon Copy blows them all away. I'm going to change out all of my pedals and switch to MXR.

Nice delay

I like the analog tone. It gets a good slapback sound. The small size takes up less space. Make it a point to use the 9 volt 200ma adapter cord. I used a 9v Roland 500ma cord and got a real bad uncontrollable volume increase when the Regen knob went past 10 o'clock. I checked the problem cord and it read 14.5 volts.

MXR CC Analog Delay - if subtle analog delay effect is what you're after!

I have owned a digital delay and this is my first time to try out an analog delay. I now realize that the two are a different animal all together. Digital delay is good for creating U2-like sounds, or for creating an obvious effect that would totally make your sound nifty if you know what you're doing. An analog delay does not accomplish that effect, rather it makes your sound fuller and more pleasing to the ear especially when doing overdriven solos. The analog effect is supposed to sound warmer and with less fidelity to the original signal, and that is what gives it its place in the guitarist's pedal board.
Having said all that, the MXR is pretty cool in a way that my sound instantly sounded better after adding it to my signal chain. It's hard to explain, but the subtle delay sound makes it's presence know only in certain places and not all the time during my solos. But you know that it's there. Turn it off and you'll certainly miss the effect. I now have a digital delay and the MXR analog delay right after it. And my sound has never sounded better! I always leave the Carbon Copy on whether I'm playing clean or driven!
The only negative is that you have to have a dedicated/stable power supply to the pedal. Otherwise it got a bit noisy for me. It almost sounded better on batteries than when it was getting juice off my daisy chain. Other than that this pedal made me very happy. Oh and i got it 40 bucks cheaper brand new here on ebay. Buy this pedal. If this does not instantly make your sound better don't blame the pedal. You probably just need to practice more!

MXR CARBON COPY DELAY M169

Very cool, warm analog delay. I'm very impressed with the fact that Dunlop was able to get a high quality sounding analog delay in a tiny little stompbox form. Built very sturdy, cool metallic green sparkly paint job on stompbox. I really like the adjustable mod button feature also. Great little delay for the price!
