Fiat money is worthless, gold will endure

 | Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.
Created: 03/02/12
These are mostly reproductions of the original legal tender coin. However, they are .1109 or so ounces of gold, and my intent is to pay less than 2% above the spot price of gold, which varies every day.

When it comes to paper (fiat) money, as a 76 year old student of history, there has never, ever, throughout history been a nation or society that has reverted to fiat money as the entire world is now, when that money did not finally end up worth less than the paper it is printed on.

We go to Europe often, and the euro and other currency would not even be good to blow your nose in, much less to use for toilet paper.

I have a Jugoslavian bank note in the amount of 50,ooo dinars that fits this description. I also have a bank not from the Republic of Rhodesia in the amount of $100,000,000,000, that is one hundred trillion, and the day they quit using it, if you were lucky, you could exchange it for 2 eggs.

The time has come to restore fiscal responsibility to this nation, and the current administration has absolutely no intention of doing so.

That is my opinion, and worth only what one man thinks.

Replies would be appreciated.

The 1915 Austria Ducat can be an original 1915 coin but they are most likely a restrike. The restrikes are collected for their bullion value and are normally well struck, bright, and beautiful coins. They cointain .1109 OZ of gold. Have fun collecting!
