Great little tablet!! Recent firmware puts it to Android 4.0! A couple minor bugs being first release of it, but nothing major. Can always wait till next update if you prefer. Battery life has been getting better with each charge(added Task Killer Advanced right away, so not the reason for the increase). Now getting nearly 5 hours of use after 3 full charges. Charging only takes a little over an hour with it off. Uses full Android Market, as stated. With 4.0 loaded you get 2.17gb or nand memory free, 880mb for apps(instead of the 256mb in so many tablets/phones), and the rest of the 4gb is used for operating system. Having a microSD card makes it so the tablet is using hardly any of the 880mb for apps, with moving any app to SD that will allow. Screen is very responsive and runs smoothly. Great resolution and brightness. Wide angle of view for watching movie on a plane etc. Faster browsing experience than my 1st gen iPad, not to mention much more file compatibility(like movies for example). The dual core does make a big difference. Camera has adjust-ability for most things(white balance, exposure, etc) to make it useable under most conditions. VGA resolution, good for the basics. Only thing I found odd was that it didn't come with any usb cables. Easily found a mini to female type A for 2 bucks here for utilizing external things like keyboards etc. To connect to a computer it's just the standard mini to type A that most have already from other devices. Overall VERY happy with this little tablet! Planning to get others as gifts.......
I bought this tablet because I was looking for something smaller then a laptop for doing my work. The 7 inch tablet definitely fit what I was looking for. I personally like the customization that can be done with the tablet and the many apps that can be installed on it. The resolution of the screen is great as compared to some that I have seen. The battery life is shorter then I would have thought it would be although it could be settings that I have to change. This is the first tablet that I have ever bought so don't pay attention to the short battery life. You will definitely like the quick action while browsing the internet and multitasking. The most important thing to think about when looking at the different tablets, consider the screen which this one has a glass screen with the captive touch screen instead of the plastic screen that comes with some lower end tablets. I have yet to find any big issues with the tablet and if the tablet is rooted then you can load your own custom roms and kernels on it.
This is a great little tablet for under $100. I wanted to see what all the tablet fuss was about and didn't want to spend a lot of money, so this fit the bill. The screen is pretty responsive, it's easy to download and install apps, the battery life is pretty good, it doesn't drop my internet connection, and it's the perfect size for me. On the down side, there are a LOT of apps that don't work on it yet because it's ICS. And mine didn't come with a People app or Contact Manager, even though everything I read on the web said it did and that was one of the main reasons I wanted it. So I'm glad I didn't spend more money, but I really like it and would buy it again!
Bought this for my granddaughter as a replacement for a piece of garbage (Infocast) I mistakenly bought at Christmas. She's thrilled with it. I haven't had much opportunity to pry it away from her to play with it. The one I bought had been upgraded to Android 4.0 and has worked flawlessly so far. She tells me that browsing the internet is faster than our high powered desktop. The only drawbacks that kept this from being 5 stars across the board is the small amount of built in memory, and the battery life. Due to her recommendation, I'm considering another for her brother and a 10" for me.
Tablet the size of a Kindle/Nook for less $. Comes with a full set of apps. Will replace laptop. Has sockets for SD memory. Bought with keyboard case. Battery life good but not as long as iPad. Android apps from Google & Amazon as well as other websites. Much more useful than iPad in doing useful work as a Notebook.
