|Team 17's aggressive, anarchistic, adorable annelids return to the front lines, in this 2005 edition in the Worms series, brought Stateside by Majesco. Like the immediately previous Worms game, this fittingly titled Mayhem is in 3D, bringing another dimension of uncertainty to a game known for its massively destructive ballistics and acutely imprecise, on-the-fly aiming. Players can customize their own six-worm teams, and make use of new weapons such as the poison arrow, sniper rifle, and tail nail, as they continue in the series' endearing, enduring quest to blow up the other guy's worms before they accidentally blow up all of their own.|

I am a Worms fan and have played all the Worms games up to now. This game is similar to Worms 3D, but perfected.
You can build the style of your worm - ie. clothing, hair styles, gloves, you can build custom weapons.
Muliplayer is by far better than single. I find myself playing on the internet far more than the missions. I have multiple computers and I link them all together and gave my friends come over. Nothing like drinking and playing a good game of Worms!
Still a great game (Oct 06/2006)

Okay, I'll have to admit right off the bat that I this review will be a bit one-sided, but so what, it's MY review. As far the game itself goes, I have loved series since I first picked up Worms 3d YEARS ago, and this latest installment has not disappointed me. You can still create your own six-worm army to fight in both single-player campaign missions and multiplayer skirmishes, only now you can customize them with an assortment of headwear, glasses, gloves, and 'staches, creating a unique looking squad for which to carry out your slimy mayhem. Also featured is a new (to me at least) weapon creator mode, which (albeit limited) is still fun to play with. I could go on forever, but I won't. Anyhow, as far as the dealer goes, he shipped the game in almost no time at all (a VERY good thing) and although the box was a little smashed, the disk was in pristine condition. All in all, two thumbs WAY up!
What makes a good game? Fun? Hours and hours of gameplay? The possibility to play with friends? ANY OTHER THING?
Well, bascally, Worms 4 have all of this. Like all other games in the Worms Series, you have thousands of weapons to choose and destroy the opponent worms.
The gameplay may seem a little bit strange for anyone that haven't played any 3D version before (like me), but you'll get used to it very quickly.
Anyway, a great game. Extremelly recommended.
If you like the Worms games, then you will love Worms 4 Mayhem. All of the fun of Worms 3D and a little more. The game play is smooth and enjoyable . Graphically updated and crisp. The Worms are customizable and this adds to the fun. My only complaint is that some of the weapons such as the sticky bombs have been removed and the camera is a little slow on maneuvering, but every thing else makes up for it. If you are a fan of the Worms series, you will dig this game. 8.75 out of 10
This is a great game. Unlike Worm 3's bad targeting system, this game's is fine. You can customize your worm, theretyps of weapons, and even make weapons!at $20, thisi an unbelievable Worms game at an unbeliveable price.
