About the Manufacturer
In 1914, the Ashland Manufacturing Company entered the sporting goods business. Soon renamed Thomas E. Wilson & Co., this marked the beginning of Wilson’s historic contributions to the game of golf. Wilson has always looked to players to help shape its products. In 1922 Gene Sarazen became a member of the Wilson advisory staff (the beginning of a 75 year relationship with the company) During his tenure with Wilson, Sarazen won 39 PGA Titles including 2 US Opens, 3 PGA Championships, a British Open Title and a Masters Victory. He was inducted into the PGA Hall of Fame in 1974. Wilson Golf is marking 90 years in the game by re-launching its Wilson Staff brand, first introduced in 1960. This reincarnation includes a full line of redesigned equipment (irons, drivers, utilities, putters, wedges), balls and accessories for players of all skill levels.

I was looking for a heavy club to help me slow down my swing tempo. Fat shaft clubs are perfect for this because you can feel where the shaft is while swinging and you don't feel like you need to swing hard to make the ball go. These have a great overall feel to me. I also got these because I wanted a pretty traditional cavity back club head with very little club face offset because my offset Ping Eye 2's cause me to pull shots left. My first round out with these (with no practice at the range) I was hitting straight, long iron shots for the first time in ages. This was exactly what I wanted to get my iron game back on track. With my Pings my iron game had gone completely in the dumps! I guess the Pings just don't suit my swing well. A great club for someone looking to improve their iron game, I would say High to Mid handicappers. Mine were only $79 shipping included for 3-SW which was a steal for as nice as they hit and feel. Plus they looked like new. Give these a try you may be glad you did!

These clubs were in better shape than irons in second hand stores for a lot more money. I found they worked for me as I had remembered using a set years ago. Having won breakfast off my golfing buddy today made them even feel that much better.
