As with any fitness system, you get out of it what you put in to it!

This Wii Fit Plus was purchsed for my wife to aide in her goal to achieve weight loss. So far, it has been great for her, and she has lost 20 lbs in the first month! She has been having a great experience with it...I have even been using it some, and find the strength training activities to be beneficial. As long as you push yourself, you will see results. No slacking!!!

Only a couple of things to keep in mind when considering the purchase of this: 1) get the riser kit for the board. The workouts/exercises would be much better if there was a higher platform to step up on. Buy the riser kit and get the most out of your workouts. 2) purchasing the 2lb or heavier handweights for the activities will also aide in the workouts. These two added features make an enormous difference! One other thing to consider would be a wireless nunchuck for the boxing routines. It eliminates the possibility of having the controller and the nunchuck too close together and banging them against each other. Just a thought...

Overall, the experience has been fantastic, and we would recommend this to anyone that is looking to loose some weight and/or stay in shape.

Wii Fit Plus (with Balance Board) (Wii, 2020)

I got my Wii Fit Plus a few months ago and I absolutely love it. I have had back surgery and have permanent nerve damage in my left leg. I spend a lot of time om the balance games because they are very helpful to me and my center of balance and coordination has improved. The yoga stretching helps with the back pain as well.

What I like about the Wii Fit Plus: I like how you can customize your workout and target the areas you want to work on. You can track your weight, calories burned and time spent exercising. You also get scored on the games so you can track your progress. I mostly enjoy the aerobic exercises - Hula Hoop and Boxing are my favorites. New with the Wii Fit Plus is you can add your pets to the game and weigh them. They show up in some of the exercise games. My kitten Henrietta leads the way for me in the jogging game and I love it!

What I don't like about the Wii Fit Plus: having to keep pressing "A" over and over in the games/exercises. It gets annoying. Other than that, I love everything about this game.

This is not a hard core workout and if your serious about fitness you should combine working out on the Wii Fit and going to the gym like I do, but it is fun way to exercise in the privacy of your own home.The Wii Fit Plus surpassed my expectations big-time! There are so many different options, and I discovered some awesome features I didn't even know about. For example, I LOVE the free step where you can turn on a TV show and keep stepping to the beat sounds coming out of the Wii controller while enjoying TV. I also discovered that you can make profiles for your pets and weigh them periodically in order to make sure they don't gain weight also. I was really happy with this since I recently adopted a cat and had been wondering how much he weighed. The balance games are fun, the aerobics actually give you a workout, plus you can do yoga and strength training. I still haven't tried all the workouts!

I think the best part about the Wii Fit is that it gets you moving. It keeps track of your minutes & calories burned, and it is really easy to get in 30 minutes of activity when you're having fun and doing different activities. Plus it is tons of fun playing with other people too and having friendly competitions. The Wii Fit Plus is well worth the price!!Let's face it right away, using the wii fit plus is not like going to the gym and working out for 2 hours. That doesn't mean this isn't a great game though. The balance board isn't as precise as possible, but it is pretty close. I like the balance games a lot. They are fun and you get a little workout while doing it. My favorite games are rhythm kung-fu, advanced step, snowball fight, and the ski jump. Playing the wii fit plus has also helped my everyday posture. The balance board showed me that I was actually leaning backwards some when I stood. Now it's more comfortable to stand for longer amounts of time. One aspect I don't like though is how off the BMI (Body Mass Index) is. I am a more muscular person and am by no means overweight, but in the game I am very overweight. It's something you just have to deal with I guess.
I think this game is especially good for older people who are looking for a way to put some activity into their day.
Overall, I think the Wii Fit Plus is a good buy.

I purchased this item to help my wife in her rehabilitation from a serious illness. So far it has proven to be invaluable. The details for fitness levels are more than I expected. The yoga feature is my favorite part. Even the 6 year old grandson has a good time with the balance tests. Indispensable for Wii sports games. Seems to be very well built. Not a problem with it at all even with the pounding it takes on the running course. I am happy that I purchased it. No regrets. Great price on the one I received. Lower than a pre-owned one from Game Stop that I found at a later date.

Good fun for balance games & for balance exercises.

I bought this board for my 12 year old son who wanted it to play Mario & similar games on the Wii. We have also tried the fitness and balance games though the room where we keep the Wii doesn't allow a great deal of exercise room. He thoroughly enjoys the skiing and similar games though I can't say I'm wild about them as my sense of balance is awful - maybe if I stuck with it, it would improve.
It is handy that the board has extension feet on for jacking it up above carpet - when I first tried it, it reported my weight as 30 pounds light: adding the extensions corrected it.
My one criticism is that the distance from front to back of the board is almost exactly the length of my not overly huge feet so you have to stand on it very precisely.
To sum up, if you want to play balance games or engage in physical activities that require balance, this board is great. The jury is still out on the strength exercises but that's not what I bought it for.

Great to get you to move!

This is a great device for those of you like me who do not like to exercise. Being able to do yoga, balance exercises and aerobics, as well as strength training in the privacy of my home and at a time convenient for me is wonderful. The program is easy to individualize and encourages you to keep going.
