Before I made a bid I read a lot of technical reviwes in the Internet. I also asked my friends who has the same devices.
First of all, I decided that I will buy only Whistler. Military technology and many years experience were very responsible.
Second, Whistler products cost not so much as Beltronics or Valentine.
Third, I live in Russia and I don't need to have exclusive functions in my radar detector because our cops have rather specifical radars that work usually in Ultra-K band.
I just thought about different between PRO58 and 68. PRO68 has the same processor as PRO78 and some additional filters and modes. And it costs only $13 US than PRO58. So, I bought Whistler PRO68.
I use it only a few days but I like it very much. This device is quiet and smart. Great and bright icon display. Wonderful!
I chose Whistler PRO68 Radar Detector because it support X-band, K-band, Ka Superwide, Ka Band and Laser radars and has a small price.
Good radar detector for the money, but some time faulty alarms pop up on highway with no any police radars. Better to buy Whistler PRO78 Radar Detector- more silence and long distanse see radars.
I love drive. But, I live in Russia. Russian rules of the road limit max speed on 90 km/h. I have attentively read a considerable quantity of tests of a radar-detectors. This detector was the leader of all tests. I got this radar detector about a month ago and have since driven over 2500 km with it averaging 20-40 km/h over. In heavy traffic I have had enough of a warning every time there has been a cop using radar. But in free way this item is useless. Detector operation means that you have already caught and you must to prepare money for the penalty.
Anyway it is pleasant to me. It help me many time.
