I think the manufacturer should have just said that this is a 931GB of usable space.
I use SSD for boot drive and this drive for storage.

Excellent but make sure your drive bay is deep enough to fit it.

I purchased a generic knock off that lasted less than 6 months so get the real thing. This is an excellent upgrade for most notebooks PROVIDED you have the bay space to accommodate it. It is slightly larger than other drives so make sure you have space. It is not easy to modify most cases if it is not and you will be stuck using it as an external drive.
More expensive than similar products, 100% confindence in longevity.

One of the best hard drives I've ever used, excellent quality as all WD drives and very satisfing power saving. It gave me an extra 30 minutes on my laptop battery. I bought this item beacause from experience, Western Digital are the best and most stable hard drives I've ever used.
Well worth the money...

They work just as well as new drives. Be very cautious when buying them though, these drive are to thick to fit into most standard laptop drive bays. These drives need a thick bay compartment.
