While the puzzles are hard to figure out at first, it is a good thing. I have only conquered the game once, but it took me awhile to do so. That is one of the things I like about this game, its challenging enough to keep your interest, and the lasting power is definitely there. In fact, the reason I had to buy it on eBay was that I lost the original game I received, and I missed it so much I bought it again.
The graphics are good for the GB, but I think the thing I like the most is the music in this game. It has a lot of different tracks but it is enjoyable. Plus, it saves, so you can get back to where you were if you get too frustrated.
It is quite possible one of the most addictive games for the GB Color. I do not know how this game would work on a GBA or DS.
Warioland has always been a staple of oddball origin within the network of creators at Nintendo. Its neither relevant to Mario games nor as infamous, but its similar enough to warrant its unique ideas and sturdy platforming nature. In a way its a parody of the highest degree and polish. Its a well-crafted and well focused idea within an idea in a lot of ways. Wario is a man who is consumed by greed and his lust for money, so perhaps he represents Nintendo's higher interests in a way, but nonetheless he shares many characteristics with Mario too. Whether a character study of either is necessary is not up to me in this review today, but I will say one thing: If you had a choice between the two of them- who is in the better library of games and how have they evolved over the years?
If you said Wario, you'd be more often than not... correct. Simply put if you've never had a chance to play any of the Warioland games you are missing out and with the excellent Warioland 4, as well as Warioland for the Gamecube and the Warioware titles on the Nintendo DS- theirs no way this guy is gonna run out of steam unless they stop making games without Wario to begin with.
this is very similar game to the mario world games, as wario is flying an airplane and crash lands on a strange island and must try to find keys to unlock treasure chests for key items to expand the playable levels and to find your way off of the island. this is a very unique game added to the mario bros collection and yet is has a unique value.
the game comes with english or japanese dialogue (text).
