WWE - The New and Improved DX (DVD, 2007, 3-Disc Set)

When the now-legendary wrestling faction known as Degeneration-X originally burst on to the scene in the late 90s, they were recognized for antics that were considered by some to be lewd and outrageous. Comprised of professional wrestlers Triple H and Shawn Michaels, they brought a whole new form of fun to the WWE. So, by mid-2006, these two tough guys reunited again to resume their mayhem and mischief; more or less, picking up where they had left off. This 3-disc DVD set chronicles the D-X story during the latter half of 2006, primarily focusing on how they managed to make life a complete misery for Vince McMahon and his son Shane. Also noteworthy are their infamous feud with the 5 man tag team called the Spirit Squad. You will see how D-X ran roughshed on Monday Night RAW throughout these several months. The DVD covers the reformation of the group. From the early hints at Wrestlemania 22, through the skits, promos, chaos and matches that reunited the duo, making life miserable for McMahon. It features all of the D-X highlights including backstage interviews and segments, their imitation of the McMahons, the hijacking of the RAW production truck, taking over RAW for one night, vandalizing thw WWE corporate jet, limo and headquarters, and so much more. One of the best highlights of this release is the "Hell In A Cell" match from that year's "Unforgiven" pay-per-view event against the McMahons and the ECW champion the Big Show. Altogether, this WWE DVD set is a whole lot of fun to watch. And, if you're not down with that, then I got just two words for you: Buy it!

Triple H and Shawn Michaels created the World Wrestling Entertainment's popular faction D-Generation X, also known as DX. This program follows DX from its formation to the wild skits, promos and wrestling matches as members wreak havoc on RAW and Mr. McMahon's WWE. Highlights include backstage interviews and footage of DX vandalizing WWE's corporate jet and headquarters, imitating the McMahons and taking over the RAW show for one night.

This three DVD set chronicles the reformed Degeneration X; with Shawn Michaels and Triple H tormenting Mr.McMahon and his cast of minions. The sophmoric humor is hilarious, and any wrestling fan will absolutely love the action in this triple disc set. Michaels is at his funniest, and Triple H's sarcasm and wit shine on the segments included here. Must see moments: Shawn and Triple H impersonate Vince & Shane, and great matches vs Randy Orton & Edge. DX is one of the best WWE DVD's to date. There was nothing I disliked about this DVD, and I will definitely recommend this set to anyone.

Back in years past when the writting was at its best,wrestling was at its peak.
Triple H and Shawn Michaels held the fans in there hands with DX. From the brginning you could see the magic and boy they made it happen. To bad the writting is not up to par. The WWE needs to bring DX back and turn the ratings
around. They had a great thing going.
This 3-disc set was just fantastic,i've seen it a few times and will watch it again.

Friend had this DVD when it came out. Couldn't stop laughing at DX's skits, not to mention the matches are great because of Shawn Michaels. Too bad their run only lasted 7 months but everything is crammed in from that great time. Wrestling should be fun & these guys and this DVD reminded me why I love watching wrestling.
