Vizio M261VP 26" 1080p HD LED LCD Internet TV

My Vizio 26" was ordered to be used as a Computer Monitor. I am 76 years old with not the best eye site and I wanted to be able read what was on my screen. The Unit arrive right on schedule and I took only a couple of minutes to get it our of the box and plug it in. At first is appeared that it would handle only the highest level of resolution which would mean I would have very small print on the screen. I did not realize that it just did not handle the specific resolution I had my computer video card set for. After I changed to a lower resolution all was well and now I am a very happy individual. The color and contrast and brightness are outstanding. This is the 4th Vizio I have purchased. This one is amazing in that it is so light weight that I can pick it up with ease. I use Dish Satellite and the 26" is also used as my second TV. It is located 25' from my 55" Vizio TV which is also an LED LCD and it works flawlessly. I highly recommend Vizio. For their price you can have the best. If there was a negative the base mount could be a little sturdier. My wife also has a Vizio 24" as her Monitor.

I purchased this TV for my room and I was very happy when I received it. I like a lot of thing about this TV. One of them being that the video quality is so great. I also liked the built in apps feature and the wi-fi is a nice bonus. The remote is very sleek and fits nicely in your hands and is very easy to navigate.

I was stunned at the video quality when watching blu-rays and 1080p movies with my WDTV and PS3. The video was flawless in every way and I have nothing to complain about. The audio on the other hand was good. When there's explosions and stuff, the noise isn't excellent but it's not terrible can sound. As for voices, it sounds great.

I saw quite a few reviews complaining that the audio is low and the sound is bad but I have to disagree. The sound isn't excellent but it's good for a 26 inch TV. The audio goes up to 100 and I have mines on 25 when gaming and on 35 when viewing movies.

In addition to movies, I use this TV for gaming and it does that great as well. The 8MS response time isn't perfect for gaming but it's very good. The video quality when gaming is not as excellent as when viewing movies but it's not bad. I would give the video quality when gaming a 8/10 and the video quality of movies a 10/10.

A reviewer mentioned that the TV gets hot and freezes. This never happened to me with this TV. I game for around 4-5 hours a few days to test it out and the TV was very cool. I didn't experience any freezing as well. Maybe he got it refurbished or something.

I am glad I got this TV and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice slim 26 inch tv for watching movies or gaming in their bedroom. I've had it for about three weeks now and I am very happy with my purchase.

This TV has an awesome picture. It is HD distinctive with lifelike colors. I wasn't sure about the size, but it is perfect since I'm not sitting that far from it to watch it.The apps make it even better since I have no cable or satellite (Yes it looks good with an inside antenna and I get a lot of channels) I can listen to music on Pandora or watch movies on Netflix. very convenient.
The only drawback, and reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the sound--a little tinny. But I ran a line from the earphone to a small ipod speaker, and voila--good sound!

Great picture. There is some blurring when showing fast motion but that was expected. Internet apps work great. No stuttering at all. Remote control is a little slow to respond. What other reviewers have said about the sound is true. This TV needs to be hooked via the optical output to an external sound system. Audio from the built-in analog headphone jack is just plain awful and you can forget about using the built-in speakers. I knew of the sound problems when I purchased it so I'm not disappointed.

This a great TV. The picture quality is tremendous. Deep, dark blacks, and vibrant colors. 1080p is no joke, it really is incredible. The internet apps are awesome. Weather and news at the touch of a few buttons, as well as Netflix, which I use often with few issues. Two negatives exist that prevent this product from getting 5 stars. One, The audio is atrociously bad. You'll need to buy a speaker/surround sound set. Two, it will crash if you use it for too long, say, 6+ hours or so. All in all, for the price: Buy it.
