VIZIO XWR100 54 Mbps 4-Port 10/100 Wireless N Router

Unfortunately for me, this router was not the right fit. I bought it primarily for streaming Media Player content to my Xbox (about 20ft. away and one wall), to my daughter's laptop downstairs and to an additional laptop in the garage (about 70ft.). We also have 3 android phones that are constantly on. The signal increase to the garage went from 1 bar to 3, pleased there, but at the cost dropping the signal on a regular basis. Setup and features were great, but my house is almost 60 years old and has aluminum window frames...not so good. Tried everything Vizio and Centurylink suggested to no avail. Finally went back to old setup in frustration. Returned for a refund, seller was outstanding.

I bought it because of the price & dual-band function. It is amazing. Easy to set up, very reliable. The only thing I would change is that the instructions don't tell you that your desktop will automatically try to connect through the WiFi connection even though the LAN cable is plugged directly into it. You just have to re-adjust yout internet settings & everything is fine.

This router is excellent. It has 3 different connections so that you can use more than one device simultaneously with no problem although i cant seem to get the vizio HD connection to be scanned and found by any of my devices but other than that its just fine.. Last the distance of connection is also very reliable. I live in a three story house and the connection reaches anywhere in my home and the least amount of signal i receive is never less than 4 out of 5 bars...

This is a name that most think is off the wall. Really it is not, in the back of the lime light there are manufactures that produce an item like this for the big name brand. I bought this after reading other reviews, and found it lives up to the big brands, and I feel it may be better.

Truly easy set up, dual band works great, and the higher band locates the N fast. Then on the 2.4 it locks in great. I have five devices on this router in a 1800 sq ft house, with no problems.

So if you are cost wise this will work for the cut above average person.

best router around for the price, as a gamer and an avid video streamer I have to say I am amazed ad the functions and speed of this router, had a Belkin wireless from 05 that disconnected regularly and didn't stream very well as soon as this was plugged in I noticed the speed difference, also the router has a button on the back hat you can press when prompted to automatically connect without having to set or use a security key finally getting the most out of my 15mbps internet connection
