After reading all but two of Ms Slaughter's books, I have to say this is one of the best. (Triptych being my very favorite so far) Her continuity is superb-aging and advancing her characters--also her sense of "place" is fabulous. I happen to live in the Atlanta area and the descriptions are right on. There is a twist at the end of her books--and some are doozies--try it--you'll like it!
I have read all of Karin's books. I think this was one of the best. Without giving any thing away (that's not on the jacket cover)-the way she combines the main characters of her two series is great. I love revisiting characters from previous novels, so Karin's long term series are perfect for me. The books are also written so they can stand alone, you don't have to have read all the preceding books to enjoy or follow this one.
Loved it. Great to have her writing more about Grant County. Liked the new state investigators and their interplay. Slaughter is one of the best writers in crime fiction.
As always Karin Slaughter has delivered. This is the continuing story line of Slaughter's character Sara Linton. I would recommend reading the other books first. But, it is not mandatory to follow this story. My only other bit of advice is to give yourself plenty of time to read this book. Once you start you will not want to out it down!
This is a great book. A little graphic, but this writer usually is. She really did a great job of making you forget she killed Jeffrey off in the last book. She makes you want more with every page. Can't see what she has in store for the next book!
