The Virgin Mobile Shuttle has EV-DO, support for location-based services, a music player, and a 1.3-megapixel camera. It also has excellent call quality.
The Virgin Mobile Shuttle has quirky touch-sensitive keys that are a little too sensitive for our liking. Also, we think the Shuttle's WAP browser and slim multimedia offerings don't take full advantage of the EV-DO.
The Virgin Mobile Shuttle is fast, sleek, and affordable, making it one of the most attractive handsets for Virgin Mobile customers.

I have been using virgin mobile for years. I like the text bundle that I get rather in expensive and honestly i use the sugar momma to be able to earn minutes. I dont use my phone that often to talk, but I am a big texter. One of the things that I want to comment on is that you can earn 5 minutes a day just by spending 3-4 minutes watching 30 second commercials and rating them.
You can also earn minutes if you have a facebook account and let people earn minutes for you. Its great. If you are looking for a pre-paid account I would suggest using virgin. I have used t-mobile and it has so many issues. They dont have text bundles that you can purchase and they charge you for each text. Another thing that is great that you can video and picture messages for free with virgin if you get a bundle. they come in 3, 5, 10 dollar increments.
they you can even get unlimited text for like 20 bux or lower. they are always having promotions and kick backs are good. i gave a friend my kick back code and then every time they would put money on their phone i would get 60 free minutes. when ever i put money on my phone, they would get free minutes. that is awesome. I started out with this arc, which was good. i hated the small screen but it makes for it with having 2 screens. one in front, and one when you flip it open. so that was nice. it also comes with this demo game that i love brick breaker deluxe. that is one of the only reasons i kept the arc for so long. that game i just love. i have never found it available on any other phone from virgin except the super slice. i did have a super slice and it was great.. i did like the slim design. all my friends always tripped out that my phone looked more like an over sized ipod than a phone.
next i had the arc. which red color design is very trendy. the double screen a great compliment.
i then had the virgin mobile shuttle. that was another red phone. that was great. the bigger screen was just wonderful. one of the things that i can say about the shuttle is that you can subsbribe to virgin xl for 15 cents a day. then you get access to watch videos for free. some you have to pay for, but they do have some that you can watch for free. hoobastank videos, interviews with music groups and movie trailers. i used to watch videos and people would love the effect of my phone. its like i was watching tv on there. people would see my phone at the mall or something and then tell me hey is that an mp3 player. i would laugh and say no, its my phone. another cool thing about the shuttle is that you can have music videos playing in the back ground as the wall paper on your phone. so i used to have britney spears circus video rotating on my screen and playing without audo. its a great effect. my phone would always look like the tv was on it. it has great graphics and is just wonderful.
i have just ordered the x-tc. i should be getting it in 2 days. im so happy. ill let you all know how it is.
I bought the VM Shuttle as a replacement for my phone that ended up in the washing machine. The Shuttle is a small unobtrusive slider phone that is easy to carry. The call quality is very good. This is a 2008 phone, so I will only be using it until I can afford a smartphone.
Pros: 3g EV-DO, mp3 player, 1.3 megapixel camera and a video recorder with excellent color, and a crisp display screen. A very accessible microSD card. The call quality is very good.
Cons: Quirky touch-sensitive keys. No flash. The video capture is only 30 seconds long with a resolution of 176 x 144. Checking web email is very very very slow.

I've Reviewed Virgin Mobiles Shuttle Cell Phone Before I Bought It And The Reviews Where Good Enough To Where I Spent $99 Plus Tax On It. The Shuttle Seems To Have Functions Compared To That Of A High End Contract Phone. My Favorite Features Included Mobile Email, 1.3 mega pixel Camera, Short Video Recorder, Mp3 Player. I'd Say Anyone Interested In Using Virgin Mobile As There Prepaid Cell Phone Plan To Consider Buying the Shuttle As Well As A Micro SD Card In Which Is Required To Use The Mp3 Player, Mp3 Songs Need To Be Put On The Micro SD Card And Then The Card Needs To Be Inserted In The Cell Phone, There Isn't Away To Directly Put Full Mp3 Songs On The Cell Phone, The Songs Remain On The Card And Are Accessed As Such. You Can Download Mp3 Ring tones Directly From Virgin Mobiles Services. The Shuttle Also Supports Stereo Blue Tooth Headphones To Listen To The Music Saved To The Micro SD Card As Well.
the good stuff it have camera 1.3mega pixels take great pictures, video. the mp3 works great good memory, & fast internet. but the only i dont like it takes just 30 seconds of video & no memos.
The Virgin Mobile Shuttle by UTstarcom, Is a great phone, with all the usual bells and whistles, I've been wanting to check out this phone for a while and can say I was not dissapointed by its features, It had a media player, and can shoot video as well, the only thing that did bug me was a short battery life. And virgin mobile's usual lack of a WAP push protocol for bluetooth, you can attach a device all day, but you can't share files. Virgin Mobile has always been like that, I suppose that is a way to keep a lockdown on their ringtone market. All in all it is a great phone for the price.
