The Twilight Saga's New Moon
Created: 03/29/10
Review For: The Twilight Saga: New Moon (Blu-ray Disc, 2010, Special Edition)
Let me say, I LOVE the "Twilight" books. Like, REALLY LOVE them. I love to read, and I usually read the classics. I'm a Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Bronte Sisters kind of girl. My friend insisted for two years that I should read "Twilight", but I kept thinking, "Teen vampire romance? Not my kind of book." Finally, this 29-year-old mother of three was on a flight by myself with some time to read, so I bought "Twilight". I absolutely DEVOURED it--I read one book a day until I had finished the entire saga in four days. Luckily, "Breaking Dawn" had just been released, so I didn't have to wait. The "Twilight" books are my absolute FAVORITE guilty pleasure--I love the fluff, the cheesy dialogue, the LOVE--all of it.
For me, "New Moon" really needed to redeem all that was wrong with the "Twilight" movie. After watching "Twilight" last year, I was SO disappointed. Catherine Hardwicke had just taken our beloved series and turned it into a made-for-TV movie. I laughed at all of the wrong places. How Bella and Edward fell in love was completely rushed. I could go on. Melissa Rosenberg butchered the book and everything that made me obsessed with it. Sure, "Twilight" was fun to watch because it was "Twilight", but the portrayal was so, so, so wrong on so many levels. My favorite book had been reduced to lines like "spider monkey."
WELL, "NEW MOON" JUST MADE UP FOR EVERY CATHERINE-HARDWICKE WRONG! FANS OF THE BOOK WILL ADORE THIS MOVIE. Edward actually smiles! The acting was SO much better, the visuals were stunning, and the dialogue was much, much improved over "Twilight". I honestly didn't want it to end. It stayed so true to the book we all love, and the little additions were perfect. I really felt like I was watching Bella on screen--Kristen Stewart was spot on. Every expression, every sad word was perfect. AND THEY SAID, "I LOVE YOU," something that was blaringly absent in "Twilight". Chris Weitz has made a stunning, gorgeous film that lovers of the book will adore! **I secretly wish he could remake "Twilight". This is what "Twilight" should have been!** This closet Twilighter was pleased beyond belief.
It seems like most of the critics' negative reviews have problems with the plot, the story, etc. Well, if you like the book and, therefore, like the plot and the story, you will love the film because Chris Weitz is true to the book beyond what I could have imagined or hoped for. This movie felt like it was made for the fans, so I can understand that if you're not a fan of the series how it may feel like a laboured effort to watch "New Moon". But if you love Bella and Edward **and even Jacob--Taylor Lautner was FANTASTIC in this!**, you will leave wanting more!

Romantic Film with Emotional twist! Fantasy !!
Created: 05/21/10
Amazingly entertaining, and captivating catering to young teen girls. And certain age groups. Mixed reviews..But not bad. This time around it was MORE Emotional.
-Good fight sequences.
-Introducing new supernatural creature - werewolf. (As Jacob)The special effects were far more better.
The story picks up with Edward of the Cullen vampire family and our heroine Bella still in love. Edward breaks the news that he and his vampire family will be leaving the area. They are going to a new
home for their own safety. Bella is heartbroken and goes into a depressed state. She finally starts keeping the company of Jake. Much to her horror Bella discovers that Jake and his four friends are werewolves. Remember Veronica? the Evil redhead Vampire that was in the First movie.. Well, she is on the hunt to kill Bella as revenge for the Cullen's killing her mate. Another of Veronica's vampire clan shows up to kill Bella and is torn to shreds by the werewolves. Final Edward and Bella are reunited. It becomes very apparent that an intense rivalry has grown between Edward and Jake.
At the close to the end of the story... Edward asks Bella to marry him and the
movie ends. Did she say YES? or NO? This leaves you hanging on to Part III. Of the Twilight Saga..you think????

A very good sequel

Review For: The Twilight Saga: New Moon (Blu-ray Disc, 2010, Special Edition)
New Moon takes up right where Twilight left off. This sequel is just as entertaining as the original movie and fans will not be disappointed. Bella (Kristen Stewart) is celebrating her birthday and the others have all planned a party for her. From there things take off and we find out that the Vampires are not the only things that are around town. When he realizes that his presence is endangering the life of Bella, Edward (Robert Pattinson) decides to take off and leave everything he loves behind.
This is a very good sequel to the award winning movie Twilight and the viewer will get caught up in the saga just like in the first movie.
Additional Case includes: Alex Meraz, Ashley Greene, Billy Burke, Bronson Pelletier, Cameron Bright, Charlie Bewley, Chaske Spencer, Christopher Heyerdahl, Dakota Fanning, and Tyson Houseman
If you enjoyed the first movie, you will love this one.

how could asnyone rate this less then excellent???

I cant understand the less then Excellent rating to this movie. It is beautiful thru the whole story. Jacobs tenderness to Bella.. and yet her love never wavering from Edward.. well no..how could it? but still. I love Victoria and am sorry they replaced her. That's just not fair. They would have replaced taylor as jacob also if he hadn't buffed up.. and look at his career now.. good for him. Love all the Characters in this movie. but you really must read the books to totally understand what is going down. specially with the Volturi.. those nasty creatures. those frightening, interesting, totally wicked creatures. Now understand, the book never had anyone fighting with them, except for Jane's mind zap to Edward, but fighting with Felix..didn't happen, not that Felix wouldn't have loved that. I am telling you, it would take three to bring him down> two women with big boobs would have to stand in front of him, foir distraction, you understand, and a BIG bruiser behid with a BIG Machetti. lol. and isn't she (Jane)a beautiful little girl.. even with red eyes?? lol. Edward and his family are super great. I even love Jasper, but then from the books you lesrn sbout him. but when he first says hello to Bella in Twilight, wow.. what a voice..he is so beutiful too. well they all are.. they have to be bacuse that's how it's written. buy the books. then watch the movies.. they do need to be rated excellent.. ;)
