Reserved for fans, a bit weak, but still fun.

After Season 2's cliffhanger, we're left with a fairly dry (and probably disappointing) resolution... which happens to be the plot of this third season. To be honest, the story here is in shambles. Without spoiling anything, every character is more-or-less left to fend for themselves, and while some things do very much come to a head, it seems as though friends are forgotten, and relationships are dissolved much too fast. Add an extremely last minute revenge sub-plot, and just like Sookie, you may feel tired.

That is why this get's knocked down two stars. What I did enjoy was the introduction of the character Alcide who truly does fit in with the story and doesn't feel forced in. Some characters develop much more than others (and those who don't, unfortunately are drained of interest), but those that do are fleshed out quite wonderfully. The vampires, as per usual, reign supreme as Jessica, Eric, and Pam steal the spotlight whenever they are around, but more interesting is the eldest vampire who is portrayed as the villain of the season (apart from Sookie's choice in men).

As for the DVD itself, it's packed with extras and bonus features that any fan would be more than pleased with. It won't play on older dvd players or an Xbox 360, however, as always, if you can play it on your PC, you'll be set.

Loved the 3rd season of True Blood and love the DVDs! Bottom line!!

Im an absolute fan of True Blood and I have kept up to date watching every episode and have made it a point of purchasing season 1, season 2 and season 3 so far.This way I am able to go back and watch the previous season while waiting for the next season to air on HBO.
I was also able to keep my daughter filled in on what she missed on the previous seasons as she just started watching True Blood and it has helped her a lot to be able to watch the whole series so she is up to date as far as who's who and what's going on.
I love it because I take them to watch on my laptop when I am traveling.It is so much easier to get into a DVD than it is to get into reading a book when you are traveling.

Fantastic DVD set!

True Blood is an excellent T.V. series and the third season definitely doesn't disappoint. There's plenty of romance, drama and action to keep you entertained for hours on end.

Loved the product!

Boxed set was in excellent condition!! Totally worth the price!! Looked at several other products and am glad that I chose to go with this vendor. The dvd's were not scratced nor was the box tattered or torn. I love True Blood so I don't think I could stand missing some important parts of the movie due to scratced dvd's. This is a must see season for everyone! It only gets better year after year!! Happy Viewing!!!
