Traxxas Slash 4X4 Ultimate 6807 Radio Controlled Truck

The Traxxas Slash 4x4 is by far one of the premier short course trucks on the market today. With its almost bullet proof design and brushless power the Slash will hold its own with any truck in its class.
The basic platform also provides those with a little imagination and ingenuity to really have some fun. It can be transformed relatively easily into an eight scale buggy, a monster truck, even an eight scale GT-8 onroad touring style car.
This is a highly recommended purchase and I can assure that you will be totally happy with this vehicle.

First of all, I didn't order this truck. I ordered the Traxxas Stampede 4x4 vxl 6708. It is an awesome truck and very smartly styled. I was pleasantly surprised to see many of the parts are upgrades with prior models, but standard on this truck. It runs great out of the box with included Nimh battery and charger and really needs no extras, but I've elected to upgrade not only to a Lipo battery, but several parts prone to "wear out" under more heavily powered usage. I also dyed the chassis black to match other parts. The 6708 is a great basher, takes the abuse, and is 4x4, so it is designed more for off road than for racing. Keep that in mind when purchasing. I purchased the black model and it comes in 4 color schemes. I found the best price on ebay with a warranty from an authorized Traxxas dealer. In the $400 range, I think that this is a tough basher to beat because of its quality and performance. This truck receives many good reviews on various r/c forums, so do your homework and you won't be disappointed. It did take the truck of the year award in 2010 and for good reason.

I bought the Traxxas Slash 4X4 Ultimate after 1 year of debating on whether to get this particular model, or one of many other brands. I finally made my decision after a co-worker bought one and showed me how durable it is. I was totally amazed! So, I actually bought TWO!!!, Then I bought two more of the 1/16th scale models for my kids!
Traxxas has unparalleled customer service, and their techs are knowledgeable and willing to help solve any problem you may encounter. They stand behind their products. Parts for repair or upgrade are readily available, and easy to install. Coming from a mechanical background, I have found these cars and trucks to be very well engineered, and are user friendly for operation, and maintenance.

Well I ran four battery's, and then watched the esc go up in smoke. The motor was binding and ended up over loading the esc. Aside from that traxxas was awesome and sent me out a brand new esc and motor free of charge and she's back running now.. No problems yet. Others then that I would almost go against buying the ultimate truck. The remote with all it's fancy features is nice and works well. But if u want to use all the features you still have to buy all the different accesorys to make them work. Censers and what not. And I have found I don't like leaving my I phone on the remote. It doesn't fit on the remote if you have a protective case on your phone. Just a little of a hassle. Running my current spectrum radio is just easiest. And I don't worry about ruining my I phone.

I am new RC enthusiast, I firstly got into a nitro monster trucks and although fun it was alot of maintenance and more work keeping it tuned up than I wanted to put in. I found the Slash and I never looked back. There is a reason the Traxxas Slash is the best selling short track truck! It runs great maintenance is easy and looks good. I am looking at a another one now, maybe two wheel drive. Definitely a must have for an RC enthusiast.
