Haynes Manual
Created: 06/25/07
The Haynes manual are a very great tool for the average person wanting to work on a vechile, they do have a lot of images and detailed steps to complete most problems, there are a lot of things that are not listed in the book but that is because it is best to leave though jobs to a professorial, I have bought quite a bit of these books for different makes and models and it does make life a lot easier, like the diagnostic section near the front of the book that has symptoms and solutions, for the money this book is diffenitly worth it.

Lets face it.... cars are a luxury, therefore an expense. The simple fact is, no matter how you look at it, even if your car runs perfect all the time, you still have to put gas in it to make it go. Expense! But who's car runs perfect all the time? If you have one, let me know so I can get one too! But honestly, at some point in time your car needs some attention. Whether it is the simple oil change, brakes, or something more difficult, wouldn't it be nice to do it yourself as opposed to shelling out a bunch of cash to have someone else do it for you? The Haynes line of repair manuals are perfect for the novice level and up do it yourselfers! Not only do they put the tasks in an easy to understand text, they use excellent photographs to accompany the written repair. Making this a extremely valuable asset to someone with a little motivation to save themselves some hard earned money!

Gave this three stars. Don't get me wrong. Happy to have it as works well for general maintenance work to some heavy work. Would buy again for this as useful for everyday repair and diagnosis. Issue I have with it is the same as the majority of Haynes manuals now. They know that most people are going to say to heck with it if the job needed is too indepth and just take it to a shop. As such, unlike my vintage manuals for some old cars I've had, this manual, when it gets to things like rebuilding the manual transmission for instance, does not give the info needed. Just says something about taking it to a mechanic. I do find that a bit annoying. If you are doing stocks, springs, suspension, some electrical, general engine, some diagnostic, tune etc. then this manual does the trick and will be of help to you. Probably 99.9 percent of people will be super happy and it will cover pretty much anything they are looking for. If you a looking to do heavy line stuff like transmission work then there is no info in it for you.
