it has been a good addition to my camera equipment

I wanted a camcorder for quick and easy hd video, and the Camileo S20 delivered within it's own limitations; first of all the format of the output video will not play properly on pc unless there is some very good hardware, encode is possible but way better using a 3rd party software instead of the included with the camcorder; the recording over poor light conditions is awful, but pretty much every small camcorder suffer from it; and finally there is no 60fps over 720p, such a shame, since the most usefull format is 720p since it wont saturate the image with extra noise, as it happens with fullhd, nor produce a bigger file...
so, should you buy this camcorder... lets see...
if you are going to make videos out of family related events, such as kid partys, weddings or holidays, is a wonderful choice just make sure the light confitions are optimal, such as daylight, if happens on night better if it is indoors
however, if you want to record your own night adventures over clubs or partying, well even it will make you lock good just by taking it out of your pocket, it wont deliver the final video you migh expect...
but for the price-size-style, it is just a perfect companion on your jacket or bag, for never missing things as they happen...
even it wont match bigger quality cameras, the size and the price speak for themselves, think about for a second about those 'shocking video shows on tv' dont you just hate the poor definition of the videos, well imagine if you happen to be at the right place in the right time holding one of this camcorders...

pd: still camera sucks, the image is very noisy and lacks definition.
plus: zoom is digital so avoid it
plus1: light works fine with closed objects

Have Fun using this Unique Camera

With adequate light, this camera makes fine images with superior colors on the warm side. A high grade product with a smooth outer finish.
However, this camera type may not be comfortable to hold and operate. And while taking images, you can find one of your fingers covering the light and possibly the microphone. It would be well advised to use the wrist strap, while operating this rather unique camera.

easy to carry and record the best moments.

when I saw the Toshiba Camileo S20, I thought it would be the best camera to roam with and take videos and images.
I got the ability to record in Full HD mode but without the ability to Zoom in or out. in other modes, you can zoom in and out with a zooming capability of X4. There is a tiny strong flash that brightens things up when recording in dark places. but the camera in general doesn't take clear shoots in the dark. It is light, fast and has got many features to shoot your best moments. I bought a 4GB SDHC Grade10 card and it's working perfectly with it.

I bought this camera to add to my other digital equipment. This is a great little video camera...does not do well at night unless good lighting, but daytime videos are great. Easily recorded videos go to DVD's and easily sent via emails. I have clipped photos from the video and they are very clear and not out of focus. Did a few photos and they are good also...Fun camera...I love it...Would recommend highly.
